Like people, raindrops come in all different shapes and sizes, many
clustered together in groups, like families, while others stand off to the side
on their own.
And like people, some are beautiful as they are, while others
distort our reality of what stands behind them. The water may cause problems such as making the road
slippery or decreasing visibility forcing those who try to see through it to
sharpen their focus if they want to get to where they are going.
Still, no matter
the appearance, rain's ability to wash away dirt and oil that has gathered on
the road from countless tire treads is refreshing.
What about you? Do you like the rain?

That is a great picture, Linda. I can feel the car moving. Beautiful thoughts, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! I love the rain. I love to sit on my front porch and watch the rain fall, and be surrounded by the fresh, cleansing air. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat Linda- very cool, the mix of clear focus (the drops) and blur (the stuff beyond the window.) And your writing is excellent- I would have never thought of comparing rain drops to people, but you have done an excellent job here. Way to turn Becca's photo prompt into a writing exercise! I'm inspired!
