This is my Day 3 project for the "30 x 30 Challenge" with Khara House. The prompt today was "red" and since the creative medium is open, I was inspired to make a book.
It didn't turn out as I envisioned because I ran out of time, so consider this a mini-version or a prototype. (I wanted haiku inside where the single words are.)

I had fun putting "read" on the back to complement the word "red" on the front cover.
What does the word "red" make you think of?
I love the "red" and "read"! Very clever! =)
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here trying to come up with what the word "red" makes me think of. I just have all kind of things swirling around in my head... which rhymes with red but doesn't really answer your question.
I suppose the most memorable thing it brings to mind is a beautiful, red, satin ball gown I wanted one year for prom. It was insanely expensive, though, so my mother wouldn't buy it for me. I was such a deprived child... ;-)
Oh! What a great memory! That would make a great poem. **hint, hint**
DeleteAhhh... perhaps I will write about it at some point. At the moment, I'm trying to relearn the piano, reading music, and other audio endeavors. =)
DeleteNice job, Hat! I like the look and the cleverness of it.
ReplyDeleteRed? Red has always been one of my favorite colors for clothing. Black trousers, red shirt. Red also makes me think of the red currants in our garden. Strawberries. Cardinals (my mother's favorite bird). Hearts. Fire trucks. Stop signs.
What great images! Red currants remind me of my childhood. We had a bush in our yard. Oh, and cardinals! Beautiful!
DeleteThanks for visiting and your nice words, Linda. :-)
I adore handmade books. Your red one is delightful. Red makes me think of tulips
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sabra! Aw yes, red tulips - a great image there.
DeleteThat's awesome, Linda. You are so creative!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rebecca! :-)
DeleteBeautiful book, Linda.
